Police Track Down Missing Would-Be Terrorist in Beersheva

Police Track Down Missing Would-Be Terrorist in Beersheva

Police on Wednesday were able to stop a potential terrorist attack after they tracked down an Arab girl whose family had reported her missing.

According to family members, the 15-year-old sent out a message on social media that she would “soon be famous” and her name would be mentioned in the media.

The girl, who snuck into Israel from Palestinian Authority-controlled areas, was staying with relatives in Beersheva.

After she went missing, the family in Beersheva called police, who quickly opened an investigation as to her whereabouts.

Using “intelligence and technological methodologies,” police said in a statement, they were able to track down the missing girl, tracing her to a Beersheva train station.

She was detained and questioned, and told police that she was on her way to Jerusalem to join up with acquaintances there and “stab Jews.”

She was placed under arrest and will remain in custody until the investigation against her is completed, police said.

In a statement, police said that “the department's southern region was prepared to deal with any threat with additional manpower, and will provide an immediate response to any unusual or suspicious activity.”

Yaalon Slams State Dept. 'Excessive Force' Claim

Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon slammed the United States on Thursday after a State Department spokesperson accused Israel of using "excessive force" when subduing Arab terrorists.

While addressing ongoing Arab terror in Israel on Wednesday, State Department spokesman John Kirby asserted that "without qualifying each and every one of them, we’ve certainly seen some reports of security activity that could indicate the potential use of excessive force."

In an interview with Army Radio, Yaalon blasted Kirby's contention, calling it utter nonsense.

"We are using excessive force?" the Defense Minister asked incredulously. "If someone is wielding a knife and killing people, [then our response is considered] excessive force? What are we talking about here? This is nonsense."

Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan also lashed out at the State Department on Thursday, accusing it of "accept[ing] lies...without investigation" as well as harboring a longstanding animosity toward Israel.

Israel does not use "excessive force," Erdan stressed. "The police do not bother innocent people. When police or Israeli citizens take action, it is to protect life, within the parameters of the law.”

Two Israelis Attacked in New York City

Two Israelis Attacked in New York City

Firebomb thrown at two Israeli students on visit to Manhattan.

Two Israeli yeshiva students were attacked with a firebomb while on a visit to New York City on Friday afternoon, COLlive.com reported.

Yisroel and Yosef, 19, were walking on 37th Street near Ninth Avenue when one felt "an agitation." The victims, of the Chabad sect, asked that their surnames not be mentioned.

The two had taken the subway from Brooklyn into Manhattan to participate in the mitzvah cycles initiative, in which Chabad yeshiva students help Jewish business owners and their clients perform good deeds and Jewish commandments.

"A firebomb was thrown at them," said a brother of one of the victims. "It exploded and there was fire. They were shocked. An Israeli woman was walking by and ran over to check if they were okay."

"Thank G-d, it missed them and landed on the pavement," he added. "It was a male that threw it at them but they only got to see his back because he ran away. They didn't hear him shout or say anything."

According to COLlive.com, this is the first reported attack on Jews or Israelis in New York City since the recent uptick of Arab violence against Jews in Israel.

Gun Control Israeli Style: Everyone Encouraged to be Armed & Ready to Eliminate the EnemyIsr

Good for Israel! They have sense evidently many Americans don’t. In the last couple of weeks, attacks on Jews in Israel have spiraled out of control. Specifically stabbings and shootings. Education Minister Naftali Bennett encouraged Israelis to carry weapons and be alert. They are to prevent further attacks… in other words, eliminate the enemy. Kill em. That is the perfect advice, I just wish our leaders were this sane and pragmatic. Everyone walking around with guns slung over their shoulders will certainly squash regular crime. As for terrorists, they may still kill, but they will be taken out quickly and many will be saved by this.

As the number of terrorist attacks continues to grow Israel politicians, on the left and right, are encouraging citizens to carry guns and defeat the Islamist killers.

The Jerusalem Post reported:

Civilians who shot terrorists are heroes, politicians on right and left say; Deputy Defense Minister: People with guns should be alert and prevent further attacks.

op terrorists are heroes, Education Minister Naftali Bennett said Thursday, after several cases in which people shot Arab terrorists stabbing Israelis.

“Against the cowardly Arab terrorism, a wave of Jewish courage is rising to defeat it,” he said, visiting a protest tent in front of the Prime Minister’s Residence, in which demonstrators called for more action against terrorism. Bennett said that “wherever there is a terrorist, citizens rise to defend their brothers and eliminate the enemy. In the Kirya in Tel Aviv and Kiryat Arba, Petah Tikva and Kiryat Gat, we see great heroism and great friendship.”

“For the past 120 years, people are trying to kill the Jews here. The enemy changes, but we remain here, growing and building our land,” he added.
