Fitness model and actor Greg Plitt was perhaps best known for his role in Bravo's Work Out series, but it was his motivational fitness videos that won him millions of fans online
Fitness model and television actor Greg Plitt was struck and killed by a commuter train in Burbank, California, on Saturday while filming on the tracks.
Plitt, 37, who starred in Bravo network shows Work Out and Friends to Lovers, was hit by a Metrolink passenger train and pronounced dead at the scene.
Plitt was born in Baltimore and served five years in the US Army after graduating from West Point, before becoming a personal trainer.
He had a successful career as a model appearing on the covers of some 200 fitness magazines and 25 romance novels and was the face of Thierry Mugler’s Angel Men and Ice Men fragrances
He also made it onto the big screen with roles alongside Robert DeNiro in The Good Shepherd, Christian Bale in Terminator Salvation and starred as the body of Dr Manhattan in The Watchmen.

With over 150,000 YouTube subscribers, Plitt's bodybuilding and fitness videos were part of many mens' daily routine. His sudden death has led to a outpouring of grief and tributes from the online community.
